Suzanna read Professional Studies, Accounting at Boston University (BU) in 1992, at a time when
there were fewer than 3,000 Asia students This reflects the progressive approach of Tenaga Nasional
Berhad (TNB) to ensure their best and brightest students maximize their full potential. Professional
Studies, accounting, provided Suzanna with the tools and methodologies to develop a successful
career in the important energy and banking sectors in Malaysia, before joining Mara Incorporated, a
Malaysian government-owned agency, to give back to her community.
While at BU Suzanna was able to share the rich Malay culture with fellow students; introducing icons
in cinema such as Tan Sri Teuku Zakaria Bin Teuku Nyak Putech, better known as P.Ramlee, Gamelan
music, and arts and crafts by indigenous groups across the Malay Peninsula. A non-executive role
with Margin (Art & Media) BV, at a time when the company is planning to list on TISE and expand its
operation across Asia, will allow Suzanna to contribute to the company’s continued growth by
combining her accounting acumen with her commitment to showcase vibrant Art across Asia.
Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is Malaysia’s national electricity company, the largest publicly-listed
power company in Southeast Asia. It serves over 8.4 million customers. As part of the investor
relations team Suzanna handled enquiries from corporate stakeholders, as well as others interested in
the company’s stock and financial stability.
AmInvestment Bank group (Fund Management Division) is one of the largest public listed investment
banking group in Malaysia. The Funds Management Division (FMD) straddles both AmInvestment
Services and AmInvestment Management. FWD was set up as a joint venture between Macquarie
Bank Ltd, and AmInvestment Bank. Suzanna worked in institutional sales focusing on channel sales
management, and regulatory compliance where she liaised with the Securities Commission of
Mara incorporated is a private equity social investment arm of a Malaysian government-owned
agency that develops and facilitates economic and social development for the indigenous people,
particularly in the rural areas of Malaysia. Overseeing individual project teams with varying priorities
Suzanna ensured delivery of objectives while tracking overall project progress and deliverables.
