ABOUT JAM SHAK
Jam Shak was an cultural event to celebrate 2 cultures: The Caribbean and the Dutch (Zwolle). A sculpture has been made by 2 artists in the art collaboration, there was an audiovisual performance, salsa dance workshop, percussion workshop, rum, jam and more.
The sculpture got a place in the library of Zwolle , educational activities been attached to it.

- Art Collaboration: Marit Otto (Zwolle) en Harley Davelaar (Curacao) made an sculpture inwhere 2 cultures investigate eachother and show eachothers qualities. It is also a search to the own identity, the own dna. They meet eaother in freedom to come to an universal sculpture that goes beyond boundaries.
- Audio visual performance: Johan Kloosterhuis: (student for 30 years of Adriaan Valk) plays Adriaan Valk on altsaxophone .Yves Diabate: (top percussion player from Circue de Soleil) African percussion. Visuals: Martin Caribbean Pirate (Martin van der Spruit).

- DJ Dappere Naald: Reggae ('60-'70), Oude Ska, Dub, Soca, Calypso, Kaseko, Cumbia

On the 10th of June 2017 the statue Blou Blauw from Marit and Harley will be painted and placed in the library 'Stadkamer' in Zwolle
